Welcome to the Mid-Allegheny Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Website! The Mid-Allegheny Section of ASHE was incorporated in 1987 as the 19th Chapter and is headquartered in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Our section is represented by members from Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Cambria, Clarion, Indiana, Jefferson, Westmoreland, and other surrounding western Pennsylvania counties.
ASHE is a nationally recognized, non-profit organization incorporated into Pennsylvania in 1958. Our mission is "To provide a forum for members and partners of the highway industry to promote a safe, efficient and sustainable highway system through education, innovation and fellowship."
Our Goals
- Share the latest information on techniques and methods in the design, construction, and maintenance of highways.
- Welcome anyone who is involved or interested in the transportation industry to join us for fellowship and education at our dinner meetings.
- Support the direction of ASHE by growing our section membership.
- Support a dedicated student pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering by sponsoring an annual scholarship.
- Encourage fellowship among members and supporters by sponsoring an annual golf tournament.
